Terms & conditions
* Registration information: Places in classes are given out on a first come first served basis and will be reserved on class
registers only on full payment of the fees.
* Conditions: Admission fee for new students of Rs.2,000 ,needs to be paid at the latest 1 day prior to the start of the class.
* Memberships: Valid from 1 January to 31st December 2022.
Family Membership Rs.5000/. per year (parents and children, limited to 4 people). Get Rs.1,000 Off your General French
class Term fee. Offer limited to Rs.1000 Off per Term. Get 1 voice/right to vote at our AGM. Get discounts on selected
cultural events. Get full access to the Kandy French Library for 4 people.
Individual++ Membership Rs.3,500/. per year. Get Rs.1,000 Off your General French class Term fee, limited to 1 Term per
year. Get 1 vote at our AGM. Get Discounts on selected cultural events. Get full personal access to the Kandy French
Library.
Ordinary Membership Rs.2,000/. per year. Get Rs.1,000 Off your Term Fee, limited to 1 Term per year. Get the Right to
vote to our AGM.
GOLD MEMBERSHIP CAN BE OBTAINED FOR PROFESSIONALS WHO SEEK TO USE OUR SPACE FOR EVENTS, AND WISH TO
ATTEND OUR WINE & CHEESE TASTINGS ON A REGULAR BASIS. ON APPLICATION.
* Holidays: Please note that the classes will not be conducted during the mercantile holidays. However catchup classes
can be organized during the holidays.
* Refunds/Cancellation of classes: We reserve the right to cancel/change the classes or the times and the days for the
classes. If a course is cancelled or its schedule is modified and a student is unable to attend classes as a result of it, the
student will be entitled to a full refund on the year of registration. If the student is not able to attend classes due to
unavoidable and unforeseen reasons once the registration has taken place, the registration fee of Rs.2,000/- will be
deducted from the refund and the student must produce a formal letter explaining the circumstances and provide the
original receipt to the office for refunds. No refunds will be given if the student has attended at least 2 class. In order to
be valid, refunds have to be claimed during the Term for which the student registered.
* Exams: At the end of every term an evaluation exam will be conducted. Students should get through the exams in order
to go to the next level. Alliance Française de Kandy is a center for the DELF/DALF and TEF exams.
* Other information: Students should carry their student card to attend the classes/library and sit for the Term exams.
* Discipline: All students must behave properly in the class, without disturbing the other students. Continuous disturbance
from a student, will lead to necessary action.
