On July 26th, our young participants at the Alliance Française de Kandy took part in an inspiring book cover illustration workshop centered around Malala’s Magic Pencil.
After reading and discussing themes of courage, change, and imagination, the children creatively reimagined the book’s cover through their own eyes. Using bright colors, meaningful symbols, and personal touches, they brought Malala’s powerful message to life demonstrating how storytelling and art beautifully intersect.
This project is generously funded by the Franco-German Cultural Fund, established in 2003 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Élysée Treaty of friendship between France and West Germany. The fund supports Franco-German cooperation by providing resources for cultural and artistic initiatives.
