4th Edition Colloquy is an Art Show by a group of Visual Artists who studied in India. The preview to the show was held in October in the Faculty of Arts – Fine Arts Department in MS University of Baroda. Colloquy is the fourth chapter of the Indo – Sri Lankan Collaborative art show. This is a ‘ venture’ in the real sense of the word as the organizing artists ventured into an ambitious program without any financial or institutional support from any source. The purpose was not more than the aesthetic exchange between the Indian and Sri Lankan artists, Introducing the neighbors’ art to their own art loving fraternity. Quite a few young Sri Lankan artists have been coming to Baroda since more than four decades for their post graduate studies but they seldom get an opportunity to showcase their work in India except for the institutional group shows, which are of academic nature and scarcely visited by the galleries and art lovers outside the faculty.
