Zine-Making Workshop with Everystory Sri Lanka
Facilitated by Widya Kumarasinghe and Thadini Liyanage from Everystory Sri Lanka, the session invited students to explore zines as a powerful medium for self-expression and resistance.
Together, participants reflected on themes of identity, feminism, community, and storytelling, using paper, scissors, and words to craft unique and deeply personal works. Each zine became a powerful narrative, showcasing the energy, insight, and creativity of the students. The workshop fostered conversation, collaboration, and the idea of reclaiming the page as a space of possibility.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Department of English at the University of Peradeniya for hosting us, and to all the students who joined with such openness and imagination.
